March 13, 2020. I remember the exact moment the floor fell out from under me…

What the sam heck are you doing?
I’ve been doing some deep thinking lately. The whiteboards are a-glitter with post-it notes and arrows….
Now that I’m doubling down on helping expert professionals (the ones heading into their “Second Act”) design a business that actually honors their bandwidth, energy, and revenue goals, I want to support them in all aspects of their new biz. (ICYMI, I talked about it in my last newsletter)
Yes, I’m still here to help you create the kind of thought leadership that makes you magnetic to your dream clients (without the performative “hustle”).
But naturally, once you decide to step into your Second Act, the Big Scary Question arises:
“What the sam heck am I actually going to do?”
Am I a business coach now?
A trainer?
A keynote speaker?
Do I start a podcast?
Or do I just retreat to a cabin and weave artisan baskets (don’t laugh, that sounds idyllic :)?
The list of options is exhausting.
You see, most experts try to build their Second Act by looking at what everyone else is doing. They see a “coach” with a fancy funnel and think, “I guess that’s me now.”
But if that business model doesn’t honor your energy or your 20+ years of depth, you’ve just built yourself another high-stress job—one where you’re the CEO, the intern, and the janitor all at once.
We’re not here to build another cage. We’re here to build a platform.
If the “What am I going to be when I grow up (round two)?” question is living rent-free in your head, I have something for you.
I’ve created a brand new quiz designed to help you dial in a direction that actually suits your lifestyle and your specific goals. No more throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks.
Take two minutes, answer honestly, and then come back and let me know what your result was!
I can’t wait to see which path the quiz picks for you.
Create impact, not noise,
Leanne
PS – I’ve officially been in “Second Act” mode for almost 6 years myself….. I’ve tried all the things…. some are still part of my business, some are on the cutting-room floor. You don’t have to get it perfect, let’s at least get you started 🙂
